- How does an after-hours answering service work?
- You forward your business line at closing time — automatically on a schedule or manually when you leave. Calls ring to EZO agents who answer in your business name, follow your script, and either take a message, book an appointment or escalate to your on-call contact. In the morning you unforward and review the night's activity.
- Can we use it only on nights and weekends?
- Yes. Nights-and-weekends-only is the most common setup. You control the forwarding, so you decide exactly which hours we handle.
- Can EZO contact our on-call technician overnight?
- Yes. We follow your rotation and attempt intervals by call and text, escalate to a secondary contact if nobody responds, and log every attempt.
- What happens with non-urgent calls at 1 a.m.?
- They are documented and delivered by email or text without waking anyone, then sit in your morning queue. Only calls meeting your criteria trigger escalation.
- What does after-hours coverage cost?
- After-hours coverage uses the same plans as our other answering service: $100/month for 135 minutes, $250 for 350 minutes and $500 for 750 minutes, with additional minutes at $0.75. Text notifications are an optional $15/month add-on.
